Typical student research projects currently being undertaken:
- The use of information in Sino-British business initiatives.
- Specification for a full-text CD-ROM user interface.
- Library networking in Pakistan.
- The value of hypertext in facilitating the use of AACR2.
- Teleworking.
- Resource based and student centred learning.
Recently completed PhD and MPhil projects include:
- Leisure use of public libraries before 1914. (PhD)
- OPACS: using enhanced transaction logs to achieve more effective on-line help facilities for subject searching. (PhD)
- Provision of materials for multi-cultural library services. (MPhil)
- Anti-racist awareness in libraries. (MPhil)
- Unobtrusive testing of reference services. (MPhil)
